We live in a world where children are increasingly engaging in creative expression, we must address therefore address the vulnerabilities they face in the realm of intellectual property. From original artwork to innovative storytelling, children are contributing immensely to our cultural landscape, and this is being done increasingly through social media platforms. Yet, amidst their creativity lies the risk of exploitation and infringement of their rights.
In this video, I explore the challenges faced by child creators and the urgent need for stronger protections within copyright law. I speak a little on the discrepancies between child rights and copyright law and explore how meaningful reforms could ensure that our youngest creators are empowered, respected, and protected.
